Front and Centered emerged from a broad coalition of community groups working at the intersection of equity, climate justice, and environmental justice in Washington State. We strive to create a work culture that is inclusive, collaborative, and adaptive to the diverse and dynamic statewide coalition of frontline communities whom we serve.

Full-time positions at Front and Centered are 35 hours/week and based in Washington State, with a hybrid remote/in-person work arrangement. We offer four weeks of paid vacation and 17 paid holidays alongside the salary and additional benefits. The Grant Outreach Specialist will provide programmatic and administrative support for grant programs, ensuring effective oversight, coordination, and communication with grantees. This role involves responding to inquiries about grantmaking policies, monitoring grantee progress, and accurately supporting data administration in the grants management system. The Grant Outreach Specialist will also help provide technical support and coordinate outreach activities. This person will work under the supervision of the Grant Program Manager to design and facilitate training and contribute to program meetings and reporting. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

They will collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and communities to ensure that the transition to renewable energy prioritizes frontline communities most impacted by environmental injustice. They will help shape a sustainable energy landscape that promotes equity and inclusion for all by addressing these critical focus areas.

The Controller will lead the financial operations of the organization, ensuring strong oversight of grant administration and compliance while using technology-driven platforms. This role will oversee all general accounting activities, budget preparation and variance analysis, and focus on integrating financial management with modern grant management software to streamline reporting, compliance, and grant tracking. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in non-profit accounting, grant administration, and the use of financial technology platforms. To best serve the organization, this position will utilize a combination of technical expertise, communications skills, and emotional intelligence.

The Political and Civic Engagement Director will lead related work ranging from community member advocacy mobilization to accountability of elected officials. They will be responsible for development and deployment of Front and Centered power building strategies. The Director will be part of the leadership team and supervise staff and contractors and collaborate across teams leveraging our assets in community building, communications, partnerships, and fundraising and report to the Co-Director for Policy and Programs. The Director will collaborate with our statewide coalition to make long term changes to advance the power and influence of our frontline communities, our coalition, and our agenda for climate and environmental justice through the framework of a Just Transition. They will serve as the point person for Just Transition Voters, a 501(c)4 Organization and supervise and own a portfolio of strategies, projects, and relationships that enhance our coalition influence and ability to make changes in policy and budgets. This includes: enhancing frontlines communities’ abilities to be effective in policy-making, developing relationships and accountability measures for decision-makers, deploying our influence in policy making processes, and more.
